Audi Book
You may recall that late last year I offered copies of the "Audi Motorsports
Pocket Guide/Calendar" for sale to the list. I was able to ship quite a few
to list members, all of whom seemed happy with the price/value equation and
most (but not all) of whom even paid me. In the end, I almost broke even.
Need a few? I've still got a couple. Still only $3.
Now comes a similar offer, but with a more capitalistic motivation. I
recently ordered a number of copies of the new English language version of
Audi AG's corporate history book, "A History of Progress." The book is hard
bound, measures 9 3/4" x 8 1/2" and has 276 pages. Very nice quality,
hundreds of pictures and plenty of history of the five marques that
contributed to Audi's current status. Some of you have probably seen earlier
versions. The new edition is substantaily revised (hmmm, revised history?)
and updated. It makes for a good read. Also useful for settling wagers and
as a source of arcane information.
I have several spare copies and will offer them on a first-come, first-served
basis. My intent is to ask $25 each, including shipping, or two for $45. I
want to make it clear that my capitalistic nature requires me to cover _all_
of my costs and perhaps net a few bucks (although with the shocking cost I
paid for air freight, this won't make me rich). If a person were
industrious, it might be possible to obtain the book for less elsewhere. Go
for it, I won't be offended.
If you are interested, please E-mail me privately. Include your snail-mail
address and whether you want one or two copies. I'll mail you the book, you
send me a check after you receive it. Let me know if you'd also like any of
the Motorsports books. The calendar section is out of date, but the rest is
as good as ever and a steal at $3.
