88 Quantum Synchro Wgn FS--Price advice?

I am looking at a very nice red wagon, 100k miles, dealer maintained car. It has 
original paint in great shape, no accidents, no rust anywhere, 3 new wheels 
(?why)  new tires, with near new extra Blizzaks, exhaust (OEM), runs perfectly 
except wheel bearing type noise, tight feeling suspension and clean and dry 
underneath. The guy wants $4400, says he paid 4500 from dealer this year, who 
took it in trade from original owner. I know the svc mgr at the dealership, who 
verifies the cars history and condition. 
My wife will probably not let me buy it so if anyone is interested let me know, 
also is this price within range for such a car (which appears to need next to 
nothing)?
