re: shifter rebuild query

Just realised I have a bit of an answer to that question re:
"consumable" parts to replace while dismantling, lubing, and
reassembling the shifter.  One is a problem I currently have and noticed
on the list a month or two ago.  The little boot on the linkage where it
goes through the floor pan/tunnel.  Much easier to replace with shifter
apart I bet.  The other item I replaced on my coupe about 3 years ago,
it was the ball and cup assembly that the shift lever pivots around in.
Mine had broken up and the shifter sat and felt real strange.  I think
that was about $60 at the dealer.  The boot I don't know, gonna order
one at the same time as the parking brake rod boot.
