So begineth the journey...
I called quite a few places looking for these, the answers I got were:
a) it's an old car and don't make 'em any more (no shit - so is my Dad's Sumbeam Tiger AND it's more rare, but we don't have problems getting parts for
it)
b) Boge is having trouble trying to make them fit (something about the plate at the top being a problem - for Boge? Hello!!)
c) we're out of stock
Then I called some place with the web address www.shox.com and they managed to find a few things out. I spoke to Eric and he initially gave me answer
c). Then I told him my sob story about needing a matching shock for my Turbo-gas up front and he said he'd call the manufacturer and get back to me. He
did and this is what he found: the shock I'm after apparently now has a Sachs part number (I remember hearing about Boge being bought by Sachs), but
they're not in stock yet. I have a pair on order, and Eric said I can expect them in about a month. As I wanted the Boge's, I didn't really see much of
an option, and there's plenty o' other stuff to keep me occupied between now and then (can we say blower motor).
So endith the journey.
