Turbo donor?

Found an 85 5k turbo wreck for sale. Car was rear ended  pretty badly 
but there is no frontal damage. Not really sure of the mileage (broken
odometer).. Seller is dreaming as far as his price goes: $1500!!!  I am
pretty sure he will take ALOT less b/c he has been trying to sell it for
a long time. Would this be a decent donor for a 4ksq turbo conversion?
The car seems to run and drive well. Is there a better donor for this
conversion? TIA
