I've planned for a while to put the oil cooler (supposedly thermostatic?) from an
87 5ks on my 82 Coupe. The coupe usually runs at about 100 C, spirited driving
will raise it to 130-140-150. I wouldn't mind taking the top off that. Other
advantage - more oil in system (use drain valve for complete oil change?) to
absorb the abuse of miles.
This isn't a very big cooler, but I bet it will help a lot. It goes where the AC
compressor used to be.....
