That's normal... the later versions pulse faster and are a little
quieter and don't fight back quite as much.

Consistant with Audis in general.  Normal is at least one or two
electrical devices are broken, Hydraulic oil is leaking somewhere
(maybe you can't see it yet, but I assure you it is ;)) and so on.
