RE: "New" Q in the family

Perception is ALL there is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of the time that I had (many years ago) a 1956 Lincoln Premier
with leather, power everything, an AM radio, etc. I then bought a Porsche
Speedster and got just about the same reaction from my sigificant other at
the time. Needless to say, that relationship didn't last long.

Subject:	"New" Q in the family

Well, it's a done deal. Yesterday, Unka Bart and I exchanged papers and
keys on his '87 VW Quantum Syncro Wagon!! My first "quattro"!! Yahoo!!

It is in great shape, it runs beautifully, and has *only* 92k well-cared
for miles!! It has less mileage on it than my '92 100S!!

Anyway, it was fun driving it home last night. And how appropriate... it
was raining!! What better way to pick up a quattro, right?

Gosh, that five cylinder sure makes a wonderful sound!! What sweet music
indeed!! Hmm... just wait until I put in a Borla.... :-)

I am amazed at how much this drives like a 4kq (maybe 'cuz essentially it
is.. except for the rear suspension). What a blast!!

Of course, the girl I've been dating saw it last night, and her reaction
wasn't quite the same as mine. "Oh my God, now tell me again... WHY did you
buy this car?" As some of us know, it is hard to describe and convince our
"significant others" of our rationale... I gave up trying to explain.
Needless to say, she said she'll only ride in the Audi. I told her "yeah,
until there is 6 inches or more of snow, and you want to go somewhere!!
Then we'll see!!"

I don't know... she doesn't like cats, and she doesn't like my "new" wagon.
Hmm... this just might not work out... :-)

Anyway, thanks for allowing me to blab on like this. It's just that I am so
thrilled!!

Needless to say, if anyone is looking for me, I'll be out in the garage,
playing with my new "toy"!! :-)

Take care.

P.S. Of course, eventually, I'll put some pictures up on my web-site. Stay
tuned!!
