Headlamp/wiper combo switch repairable?

It's a good idea to do your first dis-assembly of a previously unknown switch 
inside a large freezer bag, just as photographers in the field occasionally 
rescue film from broken cameras in a changing bag.  Just stick the thing in the 
bottom of the bag and shove your arms in.  The bag will catch anything that 
breaks for the border.
 
It's also a good idea to carry a bag like this in the car.  It takes zero room, 
and can be very useful if you wind up having to take something delicate to 
pieces in a muddy field.  Usually in the dark.
