93 90 intermittent fuel gauge

Suffice to saymy, my 93 90 has just developed an intermittent fuel gauge 
problem.  Seems to cut off and hard lefts and kick back on with hard
rights and work right most of the time.  This just started so further analysis
has not been completed.  Has anyone else had a similar problem or know what
might be the culprit.  It seems liek probably a loose or breaking wire
as it is intermittent but I am not sure.  Does anyone know how the wiring
is physically ran through the car from the fuel transfer pump/gauge sender
to the gauge itself.  THANKS!
