In 1964, someone gave me a Fiat 500 with a folding cloth sunroof - 500cc,
air cooled 2 cyls in rear (20 hp?), drums all the way around - pretty
little powder blue and white toy car.

Put a head gasket into it, whereupon it ran just fine, even though I was
not too successful in drag racing the stray Cobra or Corvette . . . hey,
let's be honest here - top speed about 45 to 50 MPH, and took about a week
to get there.

This car was so slow it was dangerous. The average Vespa would blow it into
the weeds without breathing hard. I gave it away to a friend of mine (or
maybe sold it for $50 - don't remember), so the moral of this story is that
yes, we have stuff like this here, too.

Best Regards,
