Have Quattro, Will Travel
So last night we got about one and a half feet of snow here in Colorado...
The big, wet, heavy stuff that you have to shovel in small chunks.
So, this morning it was time to go out and try out our '97 A4Q2.6
in the good stuff...
First we had to finish shoveling the driveway. During this we got to watch
3 girls try to make their way out in a FWD Honda or something. They only
made it 5 meters down the road, and nearly all of that was from two of them
pushing the car.
I'd like to know what they thought when I pulled the bright yellow Q
out of the garage, backed up into the street, and took off without
much work at all. :-) By this time, they were shoveling snow off
their SUV -- I don't know *WHAT* they were thinking...
I got high-centered in a parking-lot on my trip, but a couple of tries
going forward and back did the trick. Then I came back to get my SO.
Driving back I saw the road had been 7" plowed -- everywhere I had driven,
the snow was quite a bit lower than the surrounding area. :-)
Our big trip? Out to buy a snow-blower. :-) I thought my SOs idea to
buy one tomorrow was supremely bad. One place was sold out, the other
place was thin in the smaller ones, but had a WHOLE TON of the $900
2-stage ones with the tank-tracks.
Took several pictures of the Quattro in the snow. Not fit for man nor
beast, but the Quattro loved it.
