There's a great post in the archives on repair. Since the driver's side gets
used more often (!), it breaks. Its really nothing more than a 12V electric
blanket. You can disassemble the seat pretty easily and find the break, then
resolder it.

They do draw a bunch of current, however that may be a bit much. Try
disconnecting the window connects and do it again.
