DC Get together directions

Just in case my e-mail service bounces when sending to others (hey, it is
Microsoft.  Anything is possible) here are directions for the Saturday get
together.

I have included an itinerary and directions to the parking lot here.  I
think that we will indeed have pizza and food at VW Sport, because most
people may be hungry.  We can always eat again, later.
Directions to Pentagon North Parking lot from:
Maryland (Annapolis and PG County and Baltimore-Washington Parkway)-
Use your best route to get to Washington DC.  Once inside beltway, follow
New York Avenue to Rt. 395 south (towards Richmond).  The signs ARE
horrible, so if you need additional help, please let me know.  Once on I395
south, you will cross over the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers.  Stay to the
right.  Look for exit 10B.  This is for the North Parking lot.  Pull into
the lot and look for where we will be gathering (towards the middle).
Northern MD, Pennsylvania, Virginia, on the west side of the beltway -
If you are traveling down I 95 or I 270 from the north, my suggestion is to
head to I66 east.  It is the most direct, though you can take George
Washington Parkway as well.  The directions are the same.  If you are coming
in from VA (Tysons, Fairfax, etc.) I again recommend 66, but GW Parkway is
ok.
I66 - Follow I66 east to Washington DC.  As you enter the Roslyn area, look
for Exit 75 for Rt. 110 South, Pentagon/Alexandria.  Take 110 south and take
the exit for I 395 south (Note:  It is a VERY small sign on top of a larger
one.  It is a right hand exit and is about a half mile after the Iwo Jima
memorial.  Stay to the right and you will be ok!)  Stay to the right of 395
south in the local lanes and take the Pentagon South Parking lot exit.  Stay
right, go under the bridge and take the right exit ramp up onto RT 27 North.
This puts you heading BACK onto 110, heading north.  Take the 3rd exit on
the right (it is after you pass by The Pentagon) for Pentagon North Parking
lot.  Meet in the middle.
GW Parkway - Follow the GW Parkway past Roslyn and Teddy Roosevelt Island.
Stay on the road in the right lane and take the I395 exit (it is for North
and South 395 - Washington and Richmond).  Stay to the right and head to
I395 south.  Enter the local travel lanes and stay to the right of 395 south
in the local lanes and take the Pentagon South Parking lot exit.  Stay
right, go under the bridge and take the right exit ramp up onto RT 27 North.
This puts you heading BACK onto 110, heading north.  Take the 3rd exit on
the right (it is after you pass by The Pentagon) for Pentagon North Parking
lot.  Meet in the middle.
Richmond, areas South of Arlington (I95 & I395) -
Take I395 North all the way towards Washington DC.  As you pass Crystal City
and Pentagon City on the tight (The Pentagon is on your left) take the right
hand exit for Boundry Channel Drive.  Follow Boundry Channel drive tot he
right and under the highway overpass (a small tunnel).  This puts you
heading towards the North Parking lot.  Meet in the middle. *This is the
EASIEST way, but helps the fewest people*.

Saturday, November 1, 1997
Arrive in Pentagon North Parking Lot 12:00 noon — 1:00 p.m.
Meet with everybody, introduce, look at the cars 12:00 noon — 1:30 p.m.
Head to VW Sport 1:30 p.m. — 1:50 p.m.
Eat, view products, etc. 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.(?)
Dinner, leave, any other suggestions 4:00 P.M. — ????
