RE: red fuseholder under rear seat



I'm not familiar with 91 200 which, as far as I know, has much more
sophisticated Bose audio system, but on 5Ks there's an active crossover
for rear speakers located in the trunk. A crossover is an electronic
device that divides the audio signal depending on frequency, so only
high frequencies go to the tweeters, low frequencies to the bass
speakers etc. The "passive" crossover is just a couple of coils and does
not need external power, an "active" one is usually combined with an
amplifier and needs to be powered. I guess your 200 has a similar device
(look for any mysteriously looking boxes in the trunk). Although you
don't have power antenna, you may have an antenna booster that needs to
be powered.
