I just put in new separates (speakers) in the rear of my 87 5KCSTq.  An
interesting note on the install:  I took the old speakers out, cut the
basket out of the rest of the speaker assembly (leaving the outer shell),
and 6.5" speakers fit into the old speaker units (what's left of them)
perfect.  The new speakers then fit in the original location, with the same
angle as the old ones (tilting towards the front of vehicle).  For the
tweeters, i removed the mesh grills from the old speakers, removed the old
tweeters from the holder assembly, leaving a flat mounting surface for
surface mount tweeters.  Looks pretty darn professional.

I removed the stock amp/crossover unit and it is up for grabs.  All i ask
