That's great, I wish I had your good fortune...but my shop is still
replacing quite a few driveshafts regularly
...and I had a 5000S with a 3-spd. auto. that ran strong for 243,000 miles
(they're supposed to break).
I am just really still **cking sore about the fact that (A) it couldn't be
fixed due to parts availability and
(B) the incredibly large Audi gonads to charge $7K for a new one. I am
going to go drive a Contour SVT
since Audi is doing nothing to earn my loyalty as a customer. It's a free
market, they're allowed to do
business the way they want and I'm allowed to walk. The newer cars are
even more outrageous in terms
of repair bills. I 'll take my chance with a Mondeo perhaps. Audi parts
pricing coupled with questionable
reliability is forcing me to turn my car in to a conglomeration of junkyard
parts. As you may have noticed, I'm
pretty happy about it....give me a year and I may change my mind...maybe.
