Water pump going west

Yup - definitely a leaking water pump.

I'm planning to pull it and fit a new one (and a new cam belt - 50000m) on 
Thursday, using the transmission bolt technique.  All the bits are on order - 
I've even ordered a #2084 but I doubt it will be here in time.  The timetable 
is ambitious - 

08:00 Take wife to work
15:50 Collect wife from work
19:30 Area 'E' quattro Owners Club Meeting 
 
Anyone want to run a book on the total time it takes me?  It's an MB engine, 
and I'll be trying the famous technique of removing the hydraulic pump complete 
with bracket for the first time.  I think the auxiliary radiator will have to 
come out so I can get at the water pump, and I think the front spoiler and 
bumber also have to come off.
