Yeah. It might just be possible to work around it, but as the water will be 
drained anyway why make things any more difficult than they are already?

I was told some months ago that it is possible to leave them on but that you 
have to flex the spoiler forwards to get access to the pulley bolt. As I 
understand it 'flex' actually means 'bend' or 'force'.

Your timetable seems ok to me but whats the betting that it should actually 
read as follows 

08:00 Take wife to work
16:30 Pay wife's taxi fare 
18:30 Arrange for a lift to Area 'E' quattro Owners Club Meeting
