A41.8t vs. Eclipse/Talon AWD

Greetings!

Finally gave up on searching a bargain-basement A4 (Duh!....).

I found a stolen recovery '96 Talon turbo AWD (needs shocks,
springs, brakes, wheels, tars, seats - all stuff I am going to
replace anyway plus of course, upgrade the turbo/IC/downpipe/
exhaust/EVC...) for a miniscule amount compared to A4.

I know several listers have been active on Talon/Eclipse and
I have been searching the 'net but no info available like the
all-knowing Q-list (also read Turbo mag, Sport Compact).

I was wondering if this project would be as satisfying as 
getting an A41.8t albeit paying "the price".
