Ordering racing seats from the UK.

Hello, listers. This post is adressed to Jeff, but I am CC:-ing it to the list, 
coz someone else might have a BTDT experience as well.

Jeff, once you said that ordering from England was cost prohibitive.

I am currently shopping with a couple of UK outfits for a set of two black 
cloth Cobras Daytona 2 along with the custom A4 slide (no tilt) brackets.

Could you please point out any additional costs that might might incur should I 
decide to order the seats from the UK.

1. With the British fellas it would cost me about $1000 assuming £1=$1.7:

Seats: £185=$314.50 x 2 = $630
Custom mounting brackets: £40.50=$70 x 2 = $140
Shipping: £135=$230
Customs/Import Duties/Hidden costs: $??????

2. I can get the stuff from California for about $1350:

Seats: $522 x 2 = $1044
Custom mounting brackets: $125 x 2 = $250
Shipping: $56

Any input is highly appreciated.
