V8 Wipers

Hello All:

I am having some trouble with my wipers on my V8 (although I think the
mechanism and motor is common with 5000, 100, 200).  Once they have been
used for a while, when in delay mode, the fuse will blow about an inch into
the travel.  I have lubricated the mechanism thinking the mechanism was
binding up, and I am beginning to wonder if the motor is gone.  Has anyone
else had this problem?  Is this what happens when the motor is shot?
