I took a whistler 2290 remote with the exploded display and put it in the instrument cluster where the display for the trip computer would be(if I had a trip computer).

I remember Remote Systems from way back...when Escorts were *large* it made
sense to do this.
On my 200T, I've mounted an original Passport next to the visor, screwed to
a small wedge which is in turn screwed to the beam under the headliner.
Only the driver can see the unit from here, as it's completely blocked by
the sunroof motor from a view to the rear.
I posted a full description of this about two years ago...it may still be
in the archives. No pics available.
