Amentioned before I thought I saw one or other of you recommending Mobil
1 for the gearbox.  However, looking at the GL-4 (Mil-L-2105)requirement
in the Audi manual, and the Mobil Product Data Sheet at
http://www.mobil.com/consumer/mobil1/lubrpds_content.html, which says
that it should NOT be used in transmissions requiring GL-4 performance,
I am now rather circumspect.

Any new data?
