Thanks for the response and good advice. I know how time-consuming it is to 
answer. I just talked to someone today who has a similar car for sale, an 87 
wagon, sport seats, that he claims is "VERY nice, needs NOTHING", all the usual 
work having been done on the car, but it too has almost 200k miles. Cosmetics of 
interior and exterior are reported to be excellent. The asking price is 3900, 
not too negotiable, maybe a couple of hundred or so.  Overall it sounds like a 
much nicer car than the other one. I will try to be careful in buying though.
