The only times I have had my fuel consuption increase has been due to
the O2 sesor going out.  The dealers never believe it is the problem,
however when replaced the fuel consuption goes to normal levels.  Also,
if you have noticed andy surging durin acceleration, the O2 sensor is
your culprit.
