Re: Doe a dear.....

"Wanting to preserve animal life" Quite Honorable!

My 86 Coupe suffered from an impact once from a dear!
Traveling down a "dark" country road, I was confronted with 3
such furry aminals, with no-place to go! Both sides of the road
were "garnished" tightly with large OAK tree's!

Traveling at 56mph on a "2 lane narrow" the 3 Amigo's had no
place to go either, except up, and over!

Brakes were lightly attempted. I made for the center of the
road, since striking a large oak would of been the worse of my
2 choice's, at least for me and my Audi!

I managed to only bump 1 of the dear, in the rear hip area, at about
43mph(digital dash), and it went up over the top of the Coupe, scurried
around for a few seconds on the pavement, got on its feet, and ran off
into the woods.

The resultant "bump" left my hood, grill, and left headlight in poor
condition! Nothing real bad. Not compaired to what one of those
old Oaks would of done!

All in all, given the circunstance's, I believe it was the correct choice,
at the time.

After all, my sister totaled her car, swirving to avoid a squirell!

Squirell "1", Sister "0"
