RE: 1990 UrQ for sale (values)
here in nz, there are only 3 nz-new 20v ur-qs (and 2 imports from the
uk as I understand it - although I haven't seen these cars). all
1990 cars are 20v's.
prices for the 20v's are much higher than the mb's and wr's mainly due
to exclusivity as much as the spec. many more wr's were bought into
the country before pricing killed off the 20v (it was around $130k nzd
new here in 1990!).
you can purchase a pristine wr (1985) with excellent service history
and most of the major things done for around $25k nzd. a pristine 20v
would be about 3 times that (if you could find one). bear in mind
that nz is a rhd country (driveon the left), and that only 220-odd rhd
20v ur-qs were produced. the numbers of lhd cars were much higher
(2000-odd).
i have had offers $10k more than i paid for my 20v 18 months ago, so i
can see the market improving for these cars. bit of a shame christine
is not for sale...
here's hoping for juha kk (we call him yeeha!) on the week-end!
cheers,
dave

There is a 1990 UrQ for sale here in Finland. Tried to get a hold of
the
seller today, but no luck. Is a 1990 mdel car always RR engined, or
are
there MB's as well? There is also a 1983 UrQ for sale, with S2
drivetrain
(engine too?) and completely refurbished (never call a car restored
until
you see it). The later car interest me more...
What is the going rate for such cars in the UK (Phil/Jim etc.) or
some
other place one may find them, assuming it is a 20V car? Prices here
are
always a tad high because of the new car tax of 100%.
