Shadow, Phil, List, the "binary" Phil refers to has been happening very
recently, apparently because of a new trend among web-browser-based
mailers and the most popular stand-alone mailers to automatically send an
HTML-ized copy of your mail messages to make it readable by a web browser
as if it were a web page.In fact, in their out-of-box configurations they _only_ send the HTML copy. Behind this mind-numbing, bandwith-wasting
trend is none other but the Evil Empire - Micro$oft. Of course, mac-based
mailers are sheepishly following suit, after Apple's defeat by Bill G.
Thus, if you run a Window$ based mailer and/or browser like Eudora,
Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator 4.0 (or higher version) or any
Window$ mailer, go to your "Preferences" or "Options" menu, look there for
"Mail Preferences" and set it to "Text only" - and unset the "HTML"
option if it's still set! Phil, the qlist, and I will thank you.

I'd like to remind M$ Window$ users that not the whole world runs their
operating system, and that unix still is the backbone (and the muscles
and the heart and the brain and the genitals of the Internet!).

To me unix is the quattro of the operating systems.
