I think I might have answered my own question.  I got ahold of an
electronic components company that makes some little "tactile" switches
that look to be just the right size/type or very close.  I might have to fiddle
with the mounting a little to get the installed height spot-on, but otherwise
they look damn close to the ones that are in there.  I've ordered some and
should have them in a few days.  If they work, it'll be the best $3.00 Audi 
repair I've ever made :-).  If not, I might decide to ditch the stock stereo...
