Galvanizing...when what?

Just wondering. I've always been a bit unclear on when and on what Audi
galvanized. I believ they started in 1986 but did they start galvanizing
the whole line or just the 5ks? I've seen sellers stating that their 86
4kcsq's only have a little rust. I thought this impossible with double
sided galvanizing. Did Audi only partially gavvanize like VW did with
the Corrado? (speaking of which, what panels are galvinized on that
thing).

End of ramble..if anyone can settle my curiosity, it would be MUCH
appreciated.
