Slick 50 vs. Cold Starts

The absolute best method for protecting against cold-starts is pre-start
lubrication, via an electric pump drawing from the oil sump, pushing oil
into the block via a tap on the top of the oil-filter stem (or other
suitable location). Of course, a one way valve needs to be installed
between the electric pump and the out-line to the block to prevent reverse
flow when the engine starts/runs and the electric pump shuts down.

I do this on my Hummer as well as my drag car very successfully.
