Hi,
have been following this thread w/ interest. Personally, I think the bomb
influences braking activity, especially when ABS activated - a problem
suppossedly "normal" on older Audi's. I'm going to test this in a couple of
weeks
when I change the bomb.
re shakey steering.... have you eliminated a tire/wheel problem re vibration?
you indicate that the problem is most noticeable at 80 to 120 km/h. I've found
that radials tend to act up at around 100km/h. Years ago, I had a set of
Goodyears
that were notorious for this. they tried to blame it on rims/did a lot of
high speed balances/changed three sets and then finally agreed to cash back.
Put on a set of Michelins at another place and problem solved.
