I saw the very same thing a couple of years ago, while on holiday in the
UK. My brother and I were driving behind a two-year-old Golf GTI, and from
behind we could see three wheels and most of one side, while we were
straight behind it.
The driver was driving like you should with a GTI, but not with one that
was evidently badly bodged. Looking at the car, you could see the
misaligned bumpers and panels. The driver's door wasn't closed (or wouldn't
close?) and even in the early evening light you could see the mismatched
paint. Painted by Stevie Wonder?
Scared the @!#@#$%#$ out of me.
