That's been done.  Talk to Martin at BR Motorsport - he's reconditioned at
least two ex-desert quattros.

Yes.  No comment.

You obviously haven't seen the latest in quattro cover technology - available 
in several shades of vinyl (including transparent) and complete with its own 
inflation pump and dehumidifier.  The 'de luxe' version even fills with 
Nitrogen - although this is said to be bad for the tyres.

(And all of that was absolutely true!)
