Headaches

Fellow Audians; My driver's electric
window ceased functioning last week. My
mechanic ordered a new switch and the
upgraded window motor and replaced them.
When I got the car back, the window
worked fine, but the driver's door lock
was weird. Normally, when you pulled the
knob (to unlock the door) it goes up
(along with all of the other locks), you
pull the latch, and out you go. Not
anymore -- you have to give the knob an
extra tug, you hear a click, and then
the latch works. My mechanic said it
needs to be adjusted, bring it back.
He's had the car all day, among other
things, aligned and lubricated
everthing. The knob doesn't click
anymore, but the latch won't work at
all. The door handle works, but not the
latch. Any ideas........   TIA for your
