Air Con- Evaporators

The evap on my V8 has sprung a leak.

Replacement cost here in Oz about 15% of value of the car!

Air con bloke reckons that all the Audi evaps are made in the US by
Harrison. Anybody got any ideas of how to source the core?

Also the compressor is on the way out, any ideas of replacement cost over there?

I've got the feeling that I'll be spending some time fabricating a new core
& a mount for a non cubic$ compressor
