200TQ with Bilstein Sport Shocks

My 200TQ model 1989 did get new Bilstein shocks today. We used the 
Sport shocks which are for stock springs. The model numbers are 
Front: P36-0370 and Rear: B46-2065. For lowered springs you want to 
use the sprint type shocks model number Front: P36-0369 and Rear: 
B46-2066. I did go with the Sprints because I still use my car for 
towing a trailer with our race car.
The front shocks can be installed without problems. The rear shocks 
require similar modifications as described by Igor Kessel for the 
Boge Turbo Gas shocks. The diameter of the shock rod is to big to fit 
the standard sleeve,washer and rubber/metal mount. They can be 
modified though without to much problems. Maybe somebody with access 
to the 200TQ fiche can check if there was a change in the rear 
suspension at some point in time. I will report these problems to 
Bilstein and inform the list if there is any reply. The ride quality 
is still good and I can only recommend the Bilsteins for the 200TQ. 
BTW in Germany you can buy them directly from your local Bilstein 
distributor and get a 30% discount if you hold a valid racing 
license. There might be similar deals possible in other countries as 
well.
