Re: Synthetic vs Natural Oil

I disagree. I have read a book on the subject, or at least a book that
has a section on the subject. I do not remember the author, but it was
about alternative fuels, and stuff like that. The author provides charts
showing that the oil is more stable at high and low tempuratures. Also,
synthetic is pretty much pure lubricant with none of the waxes that are
present in standard oil. Porsche uses synthetic in its engines, and
although mine is not a turbo engine, i use it religiously due to the high
oil tempuratures (upwards or 130 degrees C) that occur on long drives at
high speeds. I would not trust that kind of heat with a standard oil, no
matter how high the quality. The stability is just not there.

>Oil was the motivation for Desert Storm.

I dont htink so, we were not there for the oil, very little, if any of
our oil comes from Iraq, it comes from the surrounding countries and from
here as well. We were there protecting our Geopolitical ally, Israel
from the muslims.

all of this is of course my opinion, and i would be able to give more
facts, but i dont have the book handy...
