Re: V-6 Timing Belt



Well I just replaced the timing belt and all the tension pulleys at 127k
miles (the belt was replaced at 60k and at 71k miles after an oil pump
failure). Along with the belt I also went ahead and replaced the waterpump
and thermostat. The grand total. . .$850.00.

I think it would've been around $670 if the tensioners weren't replaced
also. But I'd rather spend the extra $200 on the pulleys and have peace of
mind that the belt wouldn't slip rather than replacing the engine later
on.

Besides, now I have a dealer warranty.
