also snipped: all of Eric's good suggestion re: building up a FAQ/tip
web site to support the mailing list. He's absolutely right. I have to
confess to not having bothered to learn any html yet, but a simple
gateway leading to general FAQ's and then specialising by model, leading
to whatever sites have useful info is all we would need. It would only
require that some of us create those specialised sites.
I guess I shouldn't say more until I learn some html/mess with a no
brain editor and start to add some Audi stuff under my speakers home
page. But for my part, I know I tend to answer certain types of
question repeatedly, and I should just post the answers in detail to a
web site and send people there.
The internet in general is the ultimate decentralised reference work.
No one should ever say, hey why doesn't someone else do this because
anyone can, and should, do it themselves. I guess I know what my
homework is now...
