A6 drive and 200TQ seating.

Fellow Audians: I drove an A6 yesterday. I'm
spoiled by the way a chipped B3 moves a '91 200
TQ. An A6 is not that quick, but it moves along.
Audi's new suspension feels much better than mine.
It reallys feel connected to the road; it also
feels more responsive. Moreover, at speed, abrupt
road changes (bumps and stuff) don't upset it and
it stays on the line and keeps rolling. Tiptronic
was interesting. Assuming the revs and car speed
are correct, it shifts when you tell it to. I was
also amazed to see a "stomp on it" downshift from
5th to 2nd and then I rowed it through the gears.
In sum, the A6 goes about its business in a calm
and quite manner.

I was very impressed with the A6's seating
position and was not able able to replicate it in
my car. Even with the 200TQ's seat down and back
as far as it will go, it's higher than the A6's
and closer to the pedals. Which raises a few
questions. Are there any washers, spacers,
whatever, under a '91 200 TQ driver's seat that
can be removed to make the seat get lower. And, is
there anything that can be done to make it go back
further.

I know Audi prefer's turbos, but I'm wondering if
anyone has ever fitted a supercharger to an Audi
engine. The A6 30V would be a kick with a little
boost. I know the S4 is here and an S6 is coming,
but its probably going to be fairly expensive. TIA
for your collective help and wisdom. GregJ
