My A6's design oops....

By and large, I'm pretty satisfied with the design of our A6, but today's
adventure takes the cake. Rushing for a meeting this morning, I pulled out
and heard a clang as the right front wheel dropped off the 1 inch lip of
the garage entrance. Quick check revealed a completely flatted tire.
Bummed about the delay, but happy my floor jack and 4 way are on hand, I
got it in the air and the tire off in about 4 minutes. Flipped up the
third seat to get the spare out and ....huh?....the spare won't come out!!?
No kidding. I bloodied my knuckle wrestling it around in disbelief,
managing to add a few dirty fingerprints to the third seat's upholstery in
the process.

Finally, I conceded the spare would NOT come out, blocked by the third
seat's frame. I pulled out the socket set, and removed the seat. On the
road, this would have been a real pisser to discover. I have a suspicion
the lugnut wrench provided may have fit that bolt, but it was wedged under
the spare where I could not see it until AFTER I got the tire out. If so
it will find a more convenient home. Booh, hissssss to Audi's engineers.
