That's a function of the Haltech EFI that's running on the Orisek/Orisek car.
She always warms up that way, but does settle into a comfy idle eventually.
And runs like a bear too, btw, our last stage times not withstanding.

...An old buddy of mine, Chris Sanborn's car. Actually an old road car I
looked at buying in Manchester NH years ago. The previous motor that popped
the head gasket was an MC code, which got yanked in favor of the 20vt he got a
great deal on. The ole MC had *massive* blowby anyhow. The car was running
quite well, had sorted out the boost problem that plagued it at Mt Washington,
up until a decent bang cleaved off the oil cooler and promptly drained the
sump. Caught up in the moment, Chris and Dave didn't catch the pressure drop
until another mile had passed and power began to drop off...To make a long
story short, Stott affected a temporary fix to bypass the cooler but we feared
internal damage. The stage was already a DNF, and Chris was anxious to get
back to town, so he refilled her and drove her towards town rather than
returning later with the trailer. He made it halfway before the rod knock took
over and she tossed a rod at 1bar pressure. Needless to say, not the most
productive week-end we've had....
Chris was running Divisional and Ivan was running National.
So how'd you pick both teams I was crewing for last week-end??
