'Profile'- Dutch official Audi magazine
Hi all,
'Profile', the official glossy published by Pon, the Dutch VW/Audi/Porsche
importer, used to be cr*p. Nice to look at, but full of stupid interviews
with people with nothing to say and rubbish about gourmet food, golf and
such- with the occasional Audi thrown in.
This month's edition is quite an about-turn in this respect. Again, nicely
designed and with classy photography, it features the Al2 (nice foldout of
the groovy new version with the transparent roof!)- the S4, an interview
with Mathias Kunst, the manager S-model strategy ('Will Audi make a
TDI-engined S-car?' 'When people are ready for it. 400 Nm from a TDI is
already possible', the new A6 Avant and an item about advanced driving
courses (free when you buy a new quattro here). Nice stuff... this issue is
not going to end up being thrown away instantly, I assure you!
It came complete with an invitation for the annual Audi used car show at
the importer's. Only cars that cost more than $20k are to be found there,
and more often than not these will be S-cars or other nice motors. If I can
spare the time, I'll take a look. If only to see that beautiful unused UrQ
again...
