I'm back (after two years absense) replacing heater core
Hi all,
Well, after being gone from the qlist for the last two
years or so (the volume was just too heavy and I was
being charged for each piece), I'm back.
I've been monitoring for the last several weeks to
see what the latest topics were before jumping
in with my current issue.
Have to do the "replace the heater core" on my
'86 5Ks Avant and while I'm in there might as
well replace the fan too. I've seen some of the
archive discussion on doing this task and of
course Bentley is really sparse on this topic.
Anybody actually done this on a non-turbo (if
that makes a difference) model? Various reports
indicate full removal of the dash while others
do not. I'll be trying to get this done before
ski season gets into high gear. Even without the
quattro system, this car is the best snow car
I've owned. Those Pirelli Winter Radials have
a lot to do with that as well.
I am the orginal owner of this car. Have done the
usual repair work from window lift switches to
hydraulic pumps to accummulators (bombs) to
shocks/struts. I can certainly help any of you
in repair areas that I have done.
Hope to particiapte with you all in the near future.
