Try swapping the vacuum hoses on the actuator for the center diff lock.
This way you can lock only the rear diff. This is the 'hot setup' for power-on
oversteer and elimination of the dreaded quattro understeer/push/plow.
With the vacuum hoses on the center diff actuator swapped you now have:

Pos 1 - center only locked
Pos 2 - both open
Pos 3 - rear only locked

Works GREAT for auto-x even on totally dry pavement. Rally Ho!

These hoses can be reached by removing the right front wheel and reaching in
through an access hole in the wheel well. Just swap the positions of the two
hoses. DON'T break off the actuator nipples, twist, break loose the hose
and then gently remove..... If the hose is bad on the end just snip off a bit,
there is ample length.
