The method for spinning around the center axis was taught to my by a friend
who had learned it in a 4kq. Note: this was done in a 96 A4qm in an empty snow
covered parking lot, do not try this at home, etc.... In said parking lot,
while at a stop crank the front wheels to one side (disclaimer: full lock is
bad for cv boots). Put it into reverse and hit the gas. After some slewing,
the car settled into a spin around its central axis. Some random movement was
still present, so watch where you are going. This and the heated seats (among
other things) convinced my girlfriend to become my wife. YMMV.
