Of course it is prudent to also fix the R12 leak, but have you checked the
price of an Nipondenzo compressor lately?.......
The mineral oil in your hydraulic pump is not the Exact same as the
compressor oil, but it is similar in base (different additives).
"The great advantage of mineral oil based fluids is the fact that they are
not hygroscopic, (not subject to variations in boiling point due to
absorption of moisture, like your brake fluid)"
