Phil,
After the bomb thread, I thought you'd have a happy ending. I send my
most sincere condolences to you-- The car's a shame, but it's more
important that you weren't hurt.
All,
Phil does the right thing to prepare for safe winter driving-- replaces
his dead accumulator, and orders snow tires... AND LOOK A THE REWARD HE
GETS!
Here's the silly suggestion: To ENSURE safe winter driving (habits) in
an otherwise seductive ride like a 200q, leave some "minor" safety
related item unattended until spring-- With the problem and its
potential consequences in mind, you'll wait until spring to give in to
the urge to speed, corner, and brake like mad.
Alright... I guess it must be 4am to come up with a ridiculous
suggestion like that.
(Flame if you must.)
Eric.
